Description: Prowatch HSDK course
Objectives: This is a 3 day course arranged to provide an overview and course outline for technical training on Honeywell Pro-Watch Honeywell Security Developer Kit (HSDK). This course is to build a solid working knowledge of PW HSDK and integrated software product lines. Hands-on exercises will help the attendees to build experience on the subjects.
Assessment: Students (distributor employees) must attend all the 3 days, demonstrate a working
knowledge of the course material by class participation and successfully completing all quizzes/exercises, and achieve at least 75% on the final examination to be eligible for Certificate of Completion. Students who did not meet the requirement to pass the training will receive an Acknowledgement of Attendance
It is also a mandatory for the students to perform the "ONLINE FEEDBACK" on the last day of the class.
Participants to this course should preferably have knowledge of:
Usage of Pro-Watch.
Tridium Niagara AX
Basic System Administration task (for example, start/stop a service)
Installing IIS Web Server
Installing a Program
Application Module Developers with following knowledge will add more value to this course:
• oBIX Standards specification
• XML Processing
• Communication using HTTP protocol and REST framework
• SOAP - Simple Object Access Protocol
• Proficiency in high level langauage such as C#.NET / VB.NET / Java / C++

Other information: Students must be employed by an authorized HONEYWELL Security distributor or be
accompanied by an employee of an authorized distributor. Attendees to this course should preferably have knowledge of PC Hardware, Windows 7 / 8 and Server 2008 / 2012 OS, TCP/IP Network topology and PRO-WATCH Security Management System knowledge is of advantage but not mandatory. Also SQL knowledge is of advantage but not mandatory
All classes will be conducted 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time), unless otherwise noted. The instructor reserves the right to make changes to the daily schedule during the course, as needed. IMPORTANT NOTES: Honeywell Security MEA suggests that attending students NOT make air travel arrangements back to their home location before 7:00PM (local time) on the final day of the class. It is strongly recommended that airfare travel arrangements made be refundable in case of class cancellation.
